Love, love, love. A beautiful story of forgiveness, redemption, and the amazing power of love. Spencer is fantastic at weaving a story and creating characters that we can believe in because they could be US.

Sarah Merritt has come to Deadwood to start a newspaper and to find her sister Addie. She immediately tangles with Marshal Noah Campbell and ends up in jail. Wonderful read! This gifted wordsmith draws the reader into the depth of the characters' conflicts yet shows great time-honored wisdom in resolution. O on one who has lived richly can write this richly!

Although this book is not as good as some of Spencer's other books, I still enjoyed it. I like the strong independence of the heroine and her interaction with the "hero". I would recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre and even to those who only read the historic romances occasionally
